Greetings Band!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 4th of July Parade and Concert 
this past week.  We had a great turn out and there were many compliments 
from the audience.

A special thanks to Renee Jacobs for helping recruit a director for the 
Celebration Chorus, Carter Edmondson.  They sounded wonderful.  And thanks 
go out to John Howell for bringing out the Blacksburg Community Strings.

We have three more concerts this summer and I hope to see everyone one a few 
more times.

Saturday July 8 – Ruritan Fish Fry – Mount Tabor Road behind Slusher Chapel. 
  Be there at 5:00pm.  Downbeat is 5:30pm.  The fish fry is $6 for all you 
can eat and there is plenty! Slaw, fries, dessert and drinks are included!  
Ed will be sending out the music we will play soon

Tuesday July 18 Radford Concert Series, Bissett Park Gazebo – Be there at 
6:30pm Downbeat 7:00pm.  This is always a lot of fun!  Bring your 
sunglasses!

Saturday August 5 – Steppin’ Out Main Stage corner of College Ave and Draper 
Road in Downtown Blacksburg.  Be there 11:30am, downbeat 12:00 noon.  Wear 
sunscreen!  I burn something every year!

We will start our fall season on Wednesday September 6th at 7:30pm in the 
Blacksburg High School Band Room.   Hope to see all of you and a lot of new 
faces, too!

A big thank you to everyone for a great 2005/2006 season and here is looking 
forward to 2006/2007!
