Greetings band!

It was so wonderful to see so many of you last Wednesday!  I am so proud to be a part of an organization with all of you.

FLOYD 175th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
We have a quick concert coming up soon so please let your section leaders know if you will be there or not. I really hope that you will make an effort to come out.  Directions to Harvest Moon Heath Food Store in Floyd are at the bottom of this email.

Concert Dress - Khaki bottoms (pants, skirt, shorts), white top.
What to bring - Instrument, Music, Music Stand (if you have one), Hat, Sunglasses, Sunscreen, Water

We will get the concert order on Wednesday.

REHEARSAL AND CONCERT SCHEDULE
Wednesday September 13 -  REHEARSAL Blacksburg High School - 7:30pm - 9:30pm 
Saturday September 16 - CONCERT Floyd 175 Anniversary Celebration - down beat 11am - be there at 10:30am.  
Wednesday September 20 - REHEARSAL Blacksburg High School - 7:30pm - 9:30pm 
Wednesday September 27 - REHEARSAL Blacksburg High School - 7:30pm - 9:30pm 
Wednesday October 4 - REHEARSAL Blacksburg High School - 7:30pm - 9:30pm 
Wednesday October 11 - REHEARSAL Blacksburg High School - 7:30pm - 9:30pm 
Thursday October 12 - CONCERT - Roanoke College Olin Hall - Joint Concert 7:30pm. Be there no later than 6:45pm

Directions to Floyd
>From Blacksburg 460 (Bypass): 
This is an approximately 50 minute drive from Blacksburg. Take Rt. 460 south to Business 460 (Franklin Avenue) in Christiansburg. Do not take the Roanoke Bypass. At the Christiansburg Courthouse, turn right (South) onto Main Street (Rt. 8). Continue on Rt. 8 through Riner toward Floyd. The Harvest Moon Heath Food Store (227 North Locust Street (Rt. 8)). It is about 1 mile before you reach downtown Floyd.  
>From 81, Rt. 8 exit: 
This is an approximately 35 minute drive. Take the Christiansburg Rt. 8 exit South to Floyd. Continue on Rt. 8 through Riner toward Floyd. The Courthouse is on that intersection on the left.
