Greetings All!

Here is the program order for Sunday's concert.
We may move a thing or two around at the dress
rehearsal on Wednesday, but this should be pretty
close to the order.

DRESS REHEARSAL
Please be in your seat ready to go at 7:30 on
Wednesday (that is tonight unless you are up late
Tuesday like me). We will be in the Blacksburg
High School Auditorium.

Percussion; please come early to move your
hardware so you are ready at 7:30. Anyone that
can be there at 7:00 to help set up chairs will
be appreciated.

John Howell has sent me a note to forward to the
band with a few corrections. Please make a note
of this to save us time in rehearsal.

John; please forward this to the strings.

CONCERT
The concert will be at 4:00 pm next Sunday,
December 16. Please be there no later than 3:30
pm. If you are bringing food, please allow time
to get the food to the cafeteria before 3:30, so
you can be in your seat at 3:30 for warm ups. I
would appreciate a few extra hands at 2:30 to get
the stage set. I will be there no later than 2:00
to get the sound set up. I think that Amy also
plans to be there at 2:00 to set up the
reception. She can use some extra hands as well.
After the concert, please plan to help with the
reception or help clear the stage, and if you
have children there, make sure to get them to
Santa first (priorities!).

As always, thanks for your all of your hard work
and patience! This will be a very fun concert and
I am looking forward to having a great time with
all of you! I know that the audience will be
impressed!

If I don't get a chance to talk to you after the
concert, I wish each and every one of you a
wonderful holiday season, and I hope that your
participation with the our joint concerts have
been as rewarding for you this year as it has
been for me! I feel truly fortunate to be a part
of this community and look forward to working
with you all in the new year!

Please let me know if you have questions!

Thanks!

- Ed -

Band:

Someone said, "Only God is perfect, and we aren't
too sure about Her!" (Hey, it wasn't me!!)

Here are the corrections that have been found so
far in the new medley "I'll Be Home for
Christmas/The Christmas Waltz."

BAR 48
Clarinet 1: E# - C#
Clarinet 3: whole note F natural
Trombone 1: whole note Eb

BAR 87-88
Bari Sax: B natural resolving to Bb on the downbeat
Bass Clarinet: E natural resolving to Eb on the downbeat
Trombone 1: F# - F natural - F# resolving to F natural on the downbeat

Once again, apologies for the non-beginning-band
key signatures, but that's what it took to make
this chart work.

John
