I was really delighted to receive this brief message from the woman
in Latvia (at least I ASSUME that "Janis" in Latvian is a woman!), to
whom I sent PDFs of my arrangement of the "Concierto de Aranjuez"
earlier in the spring.

And she also dropped this note to Al Shipley, who is with "Encore ...
The Concert Band" in London, Ontario, Canada, who put her in touch
with me. <http://www.encoretheconcertband.ca/> And I see that they
included the arrangement on their 10th Anniversary album (sound clip
on their website).

This community band world is a lot wider and deeper than most of us
ever stop to think about! I just wanted to share these with you, and
if her English may be a little imprecise, I can tell you that it's a
whole lot better than my (nonexistent) Latvian would be!!!
